Associate Volunteer Program

Would you like to help guide the future direction of an established community credit union whose genuine goal is to help people in your community move their financial lives forward?

By joining the Associate Volunteer Program, you can develop your knowledge and skills to help your not-for-profit credit union continue to grow and respond to members’ needs.

General Qualifications and Requirements

  • Believe in the credit union philosophy
  • Must be age 18 or older and a primary member in good standing for at least one year
  • Must be bondable and have no felony convictions or pending felony charges
  • Not an immediate family member of, or in a significant relationship with any Erie FCU employee, Director or Supervisory Committee member
  • Have a working familiarity with basic finance and accounting practices
  • Must have high ethical standards, ability to use sound judgement, a willingness to accept responsibility, and be able to make and act upon group decisions
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and planning sessions

Associate Volunteers who complete the required training may be considered for opened positions on the Board of Directors or Supervisory Committee.
