Security Alerts & Notices

Being aware of your financial status will put you in better control in the event fraud and scams. Knowing your transactions and reviewing your accounts can aid and could event prevent fraud situations.

Current Alerts:

  • Fraud | Scam Alert 7/28/22: It has come to our attention that some members have been receiving a phone call from a number disguised as our business number (814 825-2436). The scammer, posing as an Erie FCU representative, will tell the member that fraud has occurred on their debit/credit card and then send them a text message with a 6-digit code and ask the member to give them that code. If this should happened to you, do not give any caller a 6-digit code that has been sent via text. This code could authorize the scammer to use your Apple or Samsung Pay for their own purposes. If you receive or have received a call similar in nature, please call our Member Support Center immediately at (814) 825-2436.
  • Feel you've been a victim of fraud? Take these steps immediately.
  • Credit Karma alerts due to Equifax Processing Error - If you have received an alert from Credit Karma concerning your Erie FCU Mastercard account, you can contact Equifax at 866.349.5186 for assistance. They will need your 10-digit confirmation number from their latest recent Equifax Credit File available, which can be obtained at www.annualcreditreport.com or by calling 877.322.8228. You will need to follow the prompts to either "Initiate a New Dispute" or "Check the Status of an Existing Dispute." When speaking with the Equifax agent, make sure to inquire about the "Account Sold or Transferred" matter.
