PBS stations have begun broadcasting the Biz Kid$ TV series exclusively underwritten by America’s Credit Unions to teach kids about money.
Using kids as “real life” examples, Biz Kid$ connects the financial world to kids’ day-to-day lives, and in doing so, teaches them fiscal responsibility, career responsibilities, and connection to the community as well. Junior Achievement of Erie County and the Erie Federal Credit Union are strong supporters of this program because it prepares our youth to get a jump start on a successful financial future.
Locally, Biz Kid$ airs on WQLN etc. Saturday’s at 11am. The episodes can also be viewed online at www.bizkids.com. This website is a great resource for students, educators and parents and contains fun activities and education tools that that can be used at school and in the home.
