“Erie FCU Earns 5 Stars”
Erie FCU members want many things from their credit union. The most important thing they want is a safe, sound and secure credit union. A credit union where they are confident their deposits are safe and available when they need them.
The Erie FCU, like all financial institutions, is rated each quarter by various rating agencies. One of the most prestigious, Bauer Financial, has given the Erie FCU a 5 STAR “SUPERIOR” rating, which is their highest possible rating and we are on the Bauer Financial recommended report. The Erie FCU has been on their recommended list for 77 consecutive quarters.
In addition to safety and soundness, the Erie FCU is committed to our membership. We strive to offer the very best in financial products and services and provide members with many different channels to access and manage their accounts. We are also very committed to the community we serve and participate in many community service events.
In this newsletter issue, we are honoring the lives of two of our former employees, Jane Holl and Linda Foley, who both recently passed away, all too young from cancer. In their memory, we are initiating a fundraising campaign for the Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation.
Your credit union will add $10,000 to the generous contributions made by our members from January 1 through March 31, 2010. Your contribution will help speed up the testing of this potential new treatment and eventually save lives not only in Erie but all over the world. The successful outcome of the Kanzius research could make Erie the hometown of the person who discovered a successful alternative to traditional cancer treatments. Erie could also be the place where the cancer treatment equipment will be manufactured.
The John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation is a 501©(3) nonprofit organization. You can make your donation* by any of the following methods:
● Complete a donation transfer form – available at all Erie FCU offices and included in our Winter newsletter (Page 10).
● Personal checks made payable to the Kanzius Research Foundation.
● Make a cash contribution at any branch office. Receipts will be provided.
Transfer forms or personal checks can be dropped off at any Erie FCU office or mailed to: Erie Federal Credit Union, 1959 East 36th Street, Erie, PA 16510-2663.
Together we can raise a significant amount of money that will be used to develop a cancer treatment that can save lives and help the Erie economy.
