PHISHING SCAMS

Apr 11, 2012 | Posted in Fraud Alerts

Consumers should be aware--especially in the next several days or weeks--of any suspicious e-mails, text messages or phone calls requesting any personal or financial information, especially Credit/Debit card data.

Card information that may be requested includes cardholder billing address, three digitCVV2/CVC2 code found on the back of the card, or enrollment criteria/passwords for MasterCard SecureCode or Verified by Visa.

Remember that you should never respond to e-mails, text messages or phone calls requesting this type of information. If you receive any suspicious requests, contact the Credit Union immediately.
